Magnetic Tracers

The magnetic tracers used are readily available MRI contrast agents which already have proven safety records. In Europe two tracers are available - Endorem (also known as Feridex), which is made by Guerbet of Paris, and Resovist, which is made by Bayer-Schering of Berlin.

Both tracers are 99% water, and contain trillions of tiny particles of iron oxide, each far smaller than a human cell. This preparation is non-toxic, and is easily broken down and eliminated from the body.
