Endomagnetics Ltd closed a significant financing round in June 2009 which was supported by the corporate partners detailed below together with monies from the friends and families of the founders.

UCL Business PLC promotes and supports the transfer into industry of expertise and knowledge from across UCL's wide and diverse knowledge base. UCL Business undertakes a broad range of knowledge transfer activity, ranging from intellectual property assessment and protection through to technology licensing and spinout company creation. UCL Business also has access to funds which are used to support early stage technology and commercial development (i.e. proof of concept) and also direct investment into spinout companies. UCL Business led the June 2009 seed investment round and Dr Steven Schooling is the UCLB nominated director on the board of the company.

The UK Government's University Challenge Seed Fund initiative sought to provide funding for the commercial development of technologies with business potential through the creation of seed funds with a specific remit to invest into early stage opportunities created by the UK's higher education knowledge base. The Combined London Colleges University Challenge Seed Fund (CLCUCSF) arose from a consortia of London Business School, Kings College London, University College London and Queen Mary and Westfield College with a remit to invest in the areas of information technology, material sciences and mechanical/electrical engineering, including medical device technologies. The CLCUCSF fund is managed by Sussex Place Ventures (SPV), a specialist private investor fund providing venture capital and private equity to earlier stage companies and which is owned by the London Business School.

The Bloomsbury BioSeed Fund was also established as part of the UK Government's University Challenge Seed Fund initiative, with University College London, Cancer Research Technology, Institute of Cancer Research, the School of Pharmacy, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Royal Veterinary College as partners in the £4 million fund. The objective of BBSF was to create new high growth companies within the areas of Life Sciences arising from projects originating within the member research institutes. The fund is managed by Dr Stephane Mery, who is a non-executive director on the board of Endomagnetics Ltd.
